A holiday on Ibiza already is a real experience: on this hilly
island you will discover an extremely diversity of nature as well
as a rugged coastline with sandy Calas, rewarding the island in
1999 with the title " World`s Heritage". Ibiza is located approx.
90 km east of the Spanish mainland und features a size of 571
square kilometres. Its biggest mountain is Atalaya, reaching 476
metres in height above sea level.
Nearly four kilometres away fom its capital Ibiza City the well
known and famous resort Playa d`en Bossa is located. There holidays
makers will find the highly acclaimed and kilometres long sandy
beach and excellent possibilities for water sports. In addition
thereto, much diversification with discos, bars and
restaurants.
On Ibiza you will find a balanced climate with average temperatures
of 26 degree celsius in summer and 12 degree celsius in winter.
With these temperatures Ibiza clearly is the Balearic island which
has the most ageeable climate conditions.
It is best to explore the island`s fine surroundings by boat. For
doing this, there are various yacht chartering companies offering a
huge selection of sailing boats and motor boats, actually competing
for the customer. Prices for charter yachts are being set highly,
as the demand is extremely high during summer and you will face
difficulties in obtaining a boat. It is therefore recommended to
visit and explore ibiza outside peak season. Especially during
winter you will find the best sailing- and motor boats to be
available on good rates, if you do not want to miss out on the
warmth, you may use the period from April to June or September to
middle of November. During these months there is a very good chance
for spendid weather.
